Advice for dealing with misleading management at lower levels

Self-explanatory…
I’ve often wondered if my own manager is aware of the realities our company faces. They can’t all be this stupid, right?

Intel managements are incompetent, lack of knowledge. They just sit in meetings and look at PPT all day.

They all know. But their job is to fool you by pretending to believe in an idea that has been proven stupid, like in any Communist country.

Think what their objective is. Job of your manager is to keep you motivated, while paying you as little as possible - and (s)he will say whatever lies are needed for that purpose, no matter how d-mb they seem.

or maybe... the managers are not as d-mb as you think... they know the company is in serious trouble but they have families and have to pay the bills... and the job is cushy and pays well and the children are settled in their schools... so they look the other way and tell you it will all be fine.

They’re only there to be rewarded on the fruits of your labor and take credit for your whole team’s performance. All while you work extremely hard to be let down at the end of the year to not get that promo and to be told maybe next year! And if you’re a excellent tech you’ll still be treated like you’re in a union without the benefits.

Intel management lives in a reality distortion field where they believe it’s still 1999 and everyone in the family needs two PCs.
