  1. 5 labor goal, things will not get done, managers will check, store conditions will go down, store will lose customers, I haven’t shopped there in 3.5 months.

Customers don't want to wait in lines. Department managers shouldn't be checking all day. If your front end sucks so does the store but the store managers hands are tied.

Do groceries, customers could care less about your name being plastered every where. They expect service which is being cut right out...

HyVee needs to build more food trucks. Those food truck would just print money for the company. Bring back more food trucks!

Dwight, Ron and Ric used to ask, "Is your store as good as your story?" The simple truth: not even close. The current Hy-Vee talks a good game and plays a horrible one. Price, service, stock condition, cleanliness, fresh depts, prepared foods, quality of management -- Hy-Vee doesn't live up to its own hype in any of these areas. What can be done? Spend some time in a Fareway store and take notes. Clean, well-stocked, friendly, knowledgeable employees who go the extra mile. Even their commercials are better (and Fareway never even used to advertise on TV).

Most important thing hyvee needs to change is how upper management treat its employees. Its lost both parties on are same team. Both need each other to have postive results. Hyvee runs out any who stands up to bully leadership style. Hyvee will learn that these employees have seen this mistakes made in past company and really employees speak out they are trying to help hyvee not hurt it. Hyvee does reinvest in stores a good thing but need to recruite new higher management with new ideas to blend with older management staff at hyvee to get best ideas forward. Doubt that will change. The ideas done have failed. Most of them. I dont shop hyvee much anymore. Why high price. Bait and switch ads and honestly just unfriendly staff at all levels of company and store.

Randy’s ego is so out of control he really believes he can do anything and be successful. It’s great to have confidence but you need to realize you have failed and to allow new leadership to fix your mistakes. HyVee isn’t a shoe store, it’s not a clothing store. It’s not a classy burger joint. It’s a damn grocery store.

It’s to far gone to replace what was. This is the only company in the world that stockholders are afraid to challenge the leadership so they don’t just get paid out. What worked as the greatest story ever told has been ruined by ego

I would like to see HyVee stop wasting money on bad ideas. Let’s refocus on selling groceries. Do any of you guys remember when HyVee had autonomy. They empowered the stores staff to make money for the company. It’s funny how when they took away autonomy from the stores we went to sh-t. Bring back autonomy to HyVee culture. Please stop trying to be everything but a grocery store. Please get back to customer service. We have stopped taking care of the customers and we are now demanding more money from them with our overprice groceries. Bad recipe for success

It's a simple solution. Put the store directors back in charge of the company and allow them vote on all future directives, spending, advertising and other initiatives. When store directors ran the company it was thoroughly successful for decades. We need to be a grassroots company again instead of a corporate-centric one. Sorry but the problems began in the post Jergens era.
