Want to get feedback from IBMers here... Have you watched Rob Thomas All Hands today? The segment with Rob, Dinesh and Kareem where Rob and Kareem make fun of Disnesh and beat the sh-t out of him... Wasn't that funny? I think Dinesh is done, finished and is on his way out. Good riddance anyway...

IBM is not reducing management, every year there are more SVPs... It is a real plague...
Moving RL and systems under RT would serve what purpose. If IBM was going to reduce management due to the consolidation, then efficacy makes sense. If IBM doesn’t reduce head count or reduce overhead, then why bother.

Tom, although a very clever guy, had rather old mentality... This may be the result of a) his age (let's be honest, his 40 year tenure at IBM makes him in his 60's+ unless he started as a young apprentice in his teens), b) his mentality is from the 1980's... He wanted IBMers to network face-to-face to be known in the 21st century... Why does he not know what individual IBMers were contributing to the business? Because employees performance was not reported to him face-to-face. A poster child for not being a data driven leader...
I hope Arvind wises up soon. Rosamilia would have been much better than Thomas for leading software and sales. Ashame Whitehurst did not stick around from RedHat and be appointed CEO.
Does anyone know why Tom Rosamilia was shunted (aka retired). He looked like he was interested to be CEO after Arvind (ofcourse age was not on his side)
RT is the next CEO of IBM.
They keep saying Cloud Paks are a success and OpenShit is the bo-b in town. If these claims are not true, how come these execs are rewarded with promotions etc.
Wow I really miss RT's great posts! Definitely the best part of working at IBM. There was a post about driving or flying so fast you broke through some barrier. This was like selling. And then there was a post about African values. This too was like selling. And one about how all AI was predictive analytics or something like that. This too was like selling. I had to keep an extra pair of underpants in my little open-office particleboard desk drawer because I'd laugh so hard I'd p-e in my pants every time he sent out a post. He'll be CEO someday.
Rob Thomas is undeniable proof that arrogance and ignorance are the only required "qualities" that guarantee you can climb the ranks all the way to the top at IBM. Well those, and as we know, souless unconscionable greed. Good thing is he's so d-mb, he just might be the first to wear orange. Go Tom go!!!
I try to not watch anything containing either Rob or Kareem. I find them both to be repulsive human beings.

Rob said that OpenShift is a Billion dollar product... sounds like another lie. Then he said it is the biggest container system out there... the next one (he did name it) he said was only 100 millions... The biggest container system in use is Kubernetes and it is free, so you can't evidently associate a dollar amount to it.
This guy is a total id--t, and he will finally bring IBM to its knees.
Rob is a total di-k... he hated Rosamilia and found a way to get rid of him. He will get rid of anyone who is on his path to become CEO. Dinesh is obviously Indian, so the way he was treated on that All Hands is very racist. Felt bad for him.
