Just out that the list of store closures has been sent out to Sr Managers and more retail T-Mobile doors will be closing soon. Of course that means more layoffs coming. JF always says “if you’re in a store you’re safe” be well all know that’s not true. RSMs and RAMs will be the first to fall and those MEs in areas that there aren’t any stores near by to fall into. What a mess working for T-Mobile has become. No way to avoid getting let go except for ….if you’re here you know what. Take the money and run as fast as you can.

Fake news. No more closures.
As with every higher up that started on frontline, it does not actually generate “a respect for the hardworking frontline employees.” More of a feeling of superiority over the lazy rabble who lack the fortitude to bootstrap it up.
JF started on frontline over 25 years ago. Now President. Definitely lacks intelligence cuz I know all you overachievers on this website have already accomplished a lot more career growth. Please give the rest of us lessons on how to be as smart as u. Please.
I thought Doug Chartier ran Retail? No?
There are no additional store closures beyond what was already been communicated.
JF: "Getting back to the question at hand – Is brick-and-mortar retail dead? Here’s what I think: Yes, the way we’ve known it is dead."
As much it can, T-Mobile is moving to store-in-stores like Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart etc, Metro via third party contractors instead of T-exclusive employees (who needs Metro when you've got Boost? It's still a T-Mobile customer). Corporate has long figured that third party dealers already know how to deal with the rising crime in the ghetto. They can have their burglar bars and shotg-n under the counter.
Why lease a store when you can just rent a booth for a fraction of the price with a single employee?
MVNOs like Mint get away with no stores, no sales reps, just a SIM to drop in and done, and for cheaper than a gift card. It's a totally different world from when Legere (really JF working for Legere) massively increased the store footprints to take business from AT&T and Verizon.
The merger with Sprint already shut down half of the stores in the combined company. Lockdowns showed a lot of people that they don't need stores at all, while Bidenflation is driving people to cheaper prepaid options. Even Boomers are motivated to figure out how to port in numbers when eggs are f-cking $6 a dozen.
For everyone just now getting laid off? Welcome to the f-cking club. You can do Uber and other side hustles like the rest of us, do your own taxes and insurance like a grown up, b-tch about people who don't tip after making you carry their 40 packs of water up three stories or leave their damn pitbulls running around their lawn and never have to worry about the evil corporate overlords ever again. At least the evil corporate overlords paid for air conditioning.
Heard another wave of TPR and underperforming COR doors was coming from my old boss before I accepted my severance.
JF sounds like someone who lacks both intelligence and empathy. It sucks when the action or inaction of a few can impact so many. For those who can run, do it soon. This company is slowly failing. Might as well leave while you can. Churn rates are going up. Garbage leaders from Sprint have taken over. John Leger is gone. Soon Neiville will be gone. Company is now dancing to Wallstreet instead of running a business.
Let's get the party started
