Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

just last words ...

I believe in the idea of IDM 2.0 and that can help intel back in leadership. However, some decisions will hurt us really really bad. The management does not realize how a pay cut will hurt attrition and remaining high performing top talent who can find another job will leave. PG is making a huge mistake. I hope there is someone to stop him.

AMD made the same mistake and learned when it was too late. Pay cut hurt the moral. Even management refuse to give what will be in rewards for employees who sacrifice.

Managers dont have any answer to employees. As someone who has been at intel for many years, I am disappointed and wish had options to take care of my employee!

Nothing to say

I am just disappointed that CEO only have 25% pay cut. it should be more like 30 or 40%. after all, all the current mess created by him though he trying to clean up but his methods of achieving it is probably unrealistic

AMD was in exactly Intel’s position behind on technology with no a limit to harvest the RD cost nor fund the fabs and what did they do, spin off the fabs to u leash their value.

Sadly Intel has hit the economic iceberg and similarly is behind on technology like AMD was and what do they do!

Insanity is when you leaders don’t learn the common sense economic lessons of the past

Intel put employees under the threat of layoff for three months. Most employees will have used that time to update their resumes, reach out to contacts and investigate opportunities. Attrition of high performers is going to be MASSIVE.

Entitled child. It is called 'at will' employment. If you don't like it or are not willing to work hard for the co. then you can choose to go to another firm. Stop the incessant whining.

They just had to have a long term incentive to placate a lot of people, but all they promised was some vague Restore and Reward. That could just be a 100$ bonus
