This is a question that is baffling me a bit since our last all hands.
I see that you believe in Gods path and call getting Intel back on track a "mission".
In that context, why did you not take a 75% cut in salary ? Or even 100% ?
Missionaries typically sacrifice for the greater good.
You have already earned enough in your lifetime. Last year you were amongst (or the) top paid CEO.
I think it was a mistake just to take 25% pay cut. If you had take 75%-100% pay cut it would have shown to each and every employee, that we are in this together and getting Intel back on track is truly a "noble and committed mission". It would have been easier for everyone to swallow their paycut if yours was astronomically larger than everyone else.
This was a lost opportunity for you to lead by example.
Sitting far away, I have been a fan of how you have come in and infused the energy in the company. I believe you can take Intel on the other side of this saddle.
But not taking 75%+ pay cut is so perplexing. I lost a bit of conviction for now in leadership.
