Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

schwab questions

Have an offer with schwab in the technology division and had couple of questions. Does schwab do performance reviews mid-year, end-of-year, or both? Also, if there are layoffs, how does severance usually work? And if someone were let go for low performance, is severance typically involved, or does it depend?

Reviews are in Q1 for the prior year. Sev is 60 days plus time for years. It depends on your title and job code. Do not come in at less than a 58 and if you have experience push for a 60. Performance and for cause negates sev. The process is well documented and absurd and we do a lot of pips to get people to quit even when they are solid workers. Consider that a warning.

You can use AI to answer the severance questions. Generally, Sr Managers get 88 days, Directors get 110. Lump sum. 2 months warm period. Money for Cobra.

low performers get fired after PIP and PIP prevents you from getting a severance package. Good luck, find a job else where
