HPE is being reshaped into a leaner networking-and-AI company, and anything that doesn’t serve that thesis is now on the table.

What's going to happen is that the company is going to start hiring like crazy, chase whatever technology they think is going to be a long term strategy, and then U-Turn and walk back by showing that it was actually a short term strategy by laying people off. I will admit that HPE is doing pretty well but this success is going to crash on its face. There's going to be a new set of skills that will evolve and HPE won't bother investing in training employees. Instead, they're going to let people go and hire those who somehow already have that skill.
AI company? lol. Maybe if Dr. Gartner get after it.
