Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Few people trust this leadership anymore

Nothing surprising, but it's still awful how few people have confidence in the direction they're taking Ford. Is there anyone who still has at least a little faith that they know what they are doing?

@4jfi+1kyGn9Sa are you on CRACK? What has LEGEND (JF) done? His track record is blank. As for DF. The guy does not stay anyplace for more than 5 years. If DF was a ROCKSTAR then why did Google let him go? They have much deeper pockets than Ford.
The OP was asking about trust. Yes I am a former employee. I decided to retire after LENGEDS comments back in February. He has room to talk since he is no rockstar like he claims to be. In fact since he came on board our market share has shrunk.
Said he was a car guy.. but we pretty much left that market.. Nice going Legend. what is your next trick?
The man is a liar. Nobody believes him or trust him. Tells the world Too many people in NA then turn's around and hires 9k in Mexico, THAT IS CALLED LYING IN MY BOOK.
He does not care about anything but himself. In a few years his record will still be the same as today.. EMPTY.

It's true. Not just anyone can transform a company into the toilet and still keep their big salaries and 135% bonuses. Ford LLs are amazing.

Company is headed to the garbage can or junkyard…my bet is the garbage can because that is what they make

Disagree with every post in this thread. Either you all do not work for Ford or you haven't paid attention one bit where the company is headed. We have the best leadership in the automotive industry and are on par with the best tech companies. Do you think just anyone can develop a plan as transformational as Ford+? Leadership who can take this company-changing direction and deliver are not easy to come by.

Very difficult to trust and follow self serving bs-artists. Leadership needs to be quality engineers with leadership skills, not marketing people / mba types / bean counters.

First job out of college was with HP. What an awesome place to work until Bill Hewlett passed. The atmosphere of engineering the best products, teamwork and trust went out the window as leadership transformed.
Similar thing happened to Boeing where my brother worked. It was awesome place to work until the McDonnell Douglas-Boeing merger. McDonnell Douglas won the c-suite battle and destroyed the Boeing working environment.

If Henry I was resurrected he would fire 99% of Ford leadership including most of his descendants. 50% of GSRs would also be fired.

Very hard to trust that JF management team when they come out and say things like

  1. We have too many employees and the older ones are not trainable. Then turn around and boast about hiring 9k salaried workers in Mexico. Those are American jobs. These same Executives always stated you need engineering teams that are local and understand the market. last time I checked. Mexico was not a growing market.
  2. The bonus fiasco. The way that was initially announced and then the attempt to explain Legends (JF) greed. Top it of with we we listened to our employees, YEAH RIGHT ..

Maybe if you had listened to them you would not have all these recalls. Guy is garbage.

Of course no one really believes in the management direction. All of the chiefs are just falling in line to say "yes sir" to DF because they are protecting their unearned salaries and bonuses as long as they can. They all know they have been failures going back to SRD. DF hasn't improved anything.

Hard to trust leadership, especially when SRD started under Hackett. I can't unsee what I've seen. In addition to a lack of trust, I'm not sure how older employees cannot feel resentful at the way those with pensions have been / are being treated.

@OP. I have faith in the lack of leadership... faith that they are thieves, bobbleheads and good for nothing SOBs. I am convinced we are going to be in bankruptcy soon because of the so called "leadership".

Only a mo--n can actually have faith in Ford's management. I am sure that most of the comments here praising the "virtues" of JF/DF are from those milking the company in their "friends and family" positions, and I'd bet they don't even believe that sh-t themselves.
