Work habits of employees at Oracle has worsened drastically in recent days. Every one going behind AI and trying to assume responsibilities of others.
More like I can also do your work (so we don't need you).
Reduced dependencies inside Team. There used to be a lot of discussions on code base, No one is talking to each other often now.
People using more AI to board more enhancements. But they dont understand how much cr-p they bring.
I highly doubt any of you used Codex on latest models, or you won't be calling it slop. It takes a real effort to make it produce cr-p.
I joined in on the AI slop. Only because my will to actually deliver is down the drain, and I need to show some code. I know it's slop.
@aj OMG - are you from my location? We also have the same AI "geniuses" who repeat the same old jargon and end with Codex will do everything - then proceed to demonstrate the most basic thing. Love to give this air of intellectual snobbery with faces that are quite p**unchable. These fools believe with Codex they are now geniuses - but most of us can smell their bs. Id--t local management and executives put these clowns on a pedestal - I mean id--ts recognize other id--ts and its all a mutual admiration society - makes me want to puke.
AI is a nice new tool but it is way short of what it is being sold as. What I see is now an over dependency on AI creeping in with quality out the window
Oracle's time is coming to an end. Stock fall seems very similar to what happened at Sun.
@OP I feel for you. But I have a different experience. In my team , they are pushing work on few people . It is like "you can do my work using AI , then get it done".
Then there is evolution of another section : self-proclaimed AI gurus . Their only job is to distribute wisdom on how to use AI to increase "prrrrrrrrroooooducitivy" . Besides generic wisdom , at times they distribute some dysfunctional codex skills , which are flaky and redundant most of the times. You can find this species very easily , as they start every statement as "You don't have to do anything...just give it to codex !!"
