If you're still at Ford you're screwed. Good luck competing with 18k others for jobs when you get axed in the next round of layoffs
Glad I got it when I did!

The vast majority of those added jobs were part-time rather than full time. Although better than an overall decrease in jobs it's no where near as good as increases in full-time positions where certain benefits, such as health insurance plans are included.
It is one thing to add jobs, another thing to add jobs with a decent wage. Unemployment may be down, but people are not making enough $$ to offset inflation or have a decent living.
Good news! The payrolls added 223k last month. Mostly in hospitality, healthcare, and construction. Anyone up for a career change.
We all have different skills sets. It is short sighted of you to think everyone will be in direct competition with these folks. For that matter people may chose an entire different career path.
But I suppose ur snarky comments show short sighted and myopic you really are and who needs that type of person at any company?
I got out few months back as well. Was pretty new to Ford but just didn’t see the future here when so much changes going on in the company. so decided to jump before any next rounds of layoffs which even my manager couldn’t guarantee that there won’t be one and they also didnt know about how things will turn up in the near future.
I wanted to stay long term but I gotta watch my back coz I got spooked by how the last major layoff happened!
That's not cool. I'm glad you got out when you did and I'm glad I moved on when I did as well but the best thing to do is to wish everyone else well. There's nothing good about layoffs and having to compete so aggressively in the job market. Wish others well and keep it pushing
