Another violent weekend in Downtown Milwaukee with more takeovers, police officers injured with explosives, another officer literally run over by a car, and too many other incidents to list individually. Are employees waking up or are they still buying into TG’s imaginary safety bubble surrounding NM’s campus? If you believe in the bubble I have a great investment call LearnVest to sell you. Oh wait.

Just like that another delusional person just got informed. The ACTUAL crime numbers were probably even much higher. Those were just the ones that got reported to MPD. Cancel the trip to Disney this summer. You can come experience TG and Cavalier's fantasy world right here.
You mean the ones NM paid local media not to report on or the crimes that actually took place? According to the Milwaukee Police for the 5 days of Annual Meeting within 10 blocks of the event there were:

35 Robberies
105 Aggravated As--ults

87 Motor Vehicle Thefts
2 Arsons
13 Non-Fatal Shootings
7 Carjackings

Unsafe, no - and definitely not between the hours of 9-5 when we work downtown. Uncomfortable, yes. It is very uncomfortable seeing the growing chasm between socio-economic classes. 'Give no f' attitudes are growing and we definitely see folks bringing more unbridled / unhinged behavior downtown. It isn't unsafe though. Americans in general are loud and annoying and do lots of stupid things (like throwing fireworks at a police officer)... it's not just a downtown thing.

@18k+1kwx9tn2p They won't, it's part of the TIF and image of "supporting Milwaukee" to have a significant amount of the workforce in office.
Everyone knows that downtown is not safe. I hope the company will give employees more freedom and choice to work from home. It's not worth risking your life for that place.
There wouldn’t be 3 armed police officers in full uniform in addition to NM security if the campus was safe. Period.
Well the field is about to be all over downtown for a week or so. Let us know how many attacks there are during that time. That should indicate what the reality is.
I love it that 1am on a Saturday on Water Street is somehow the same as 4:30pm on a Tuesday for this clown.
The problems from Brady Street, Water Street, Summerfest, and every street in-between will all avoid the protective bubble and know to act nice around the NM campus. Downtown is safe and there are absolutely no problems whatsoever. How delusional do you have to be to believe that?
Stay off Water Street late at night and you’ll be safe. Or, better yet, get a job with one of the suburban employers and let someone else take yours. Not everyone is afraid of urban settings.
