How is everyone doing?
Have not found anything worth my time yet. There were some initial interviews where they wanted me to take a skills evaluation. I basically told them in a nice way to pound sand.
I am not some rookie out of college.

I was chocked for a couple of weeks, after the POS manager informed me that I was to be let go. The reason, I was too expensive.
It took me a couple of weeks to process the new situation. To my surprise, someone contacted me from a competitor company offering a position.
Now, I am more relaxed, I work shorter hours, I enjoy my current job. It allows me to be creative. No pressure or stress. I do, what I deem necessary to be done.
No working weekends ....
There is life after IBM. Given that IBM is a really sh---y workplace.
Wrong I am not from India or an HR Bot.
I took 3 vacations. It's a great feeling not to have the Sunday scaries anymore
@OP the job market for techies in the US is in the dumps even though Trump says otherwise. Meanwhile Arvind and Nickel and Dime sneak more and more H1B visa holders from our favorite outsourcing country (guess ?) into the US and pay them mouth watering salaries to boot. And the Dept Of Labor looks the other ways of course, when dealing with Trump's "Friends"...
But this site is always open for mocking the best of the best, IBM India HR liar-bot rage-bait troll shill spanky-pants id--t loser parasite. Where would IBM Pipmunks be without this loser ?
It has taken me since November until now to finally fully detox from the soul-su-king dysfunction of Big Blue. I'm sleeping soundly now, enjoy my Sundays without that sick feeling starting in the pit of my stomach, and am enjoying a life without the constant anxiety that I was living with for more than a decade. So...to answer your question, I am doing fabulous! Turns out, 11/4/2025 was one the best things that ever happened to me.
The urgency to find a job is driven by the imminent need for health coverage. I heard, some have up to 18 month IBM coverage, no rush for those.
