Thread regarding Wayfair Inc. layoffs

There's no need for a layoff

There's no need for a layoff when they are firing everyone everyday! Less than 200 North American frontline customer service agents and less than 100 MCO agents, once a upon a time there were thousands of agents and now everyone is being let go everyday due to a plan make it make sense! These are tenured agents 8 years etc of service and all of a sudden they cannot maintain metrics and that's not fishy? I would look into filing a formal complaint if you feel you have been discriminated against and let go. Sad times at Wayfair.

I have seen 5 people in the past week get fired for BS reasons. Its super stressful to clock in every day, and I dread coachings.

@gz everything is broken but they swear the metrics are correct.. were being let go without a layoff!! Nothing works as it should, replacing the very little left with offshore. Why do you think the Glean push? That's how offshore knows how to do the job. I say we need to file a class action this is not ok, this is traumatic. Its a game to them. Shame on wayfair for treating people this way karma is a bad mo-o.

Anyone see their metrics not reporting correctly in Cascade? Mine are super low and not accurate. I have reported this to my manager and zero follow up or an explanation as to why Cascade is not reporting correctly. Many others in my dept are experiencing the same thing. We can get fired over our metrics when their system is not reporting correctly. Same thing happens with the random attendance points that we get given when we are here at work.

As a manager I will tell you we literally have to fire people all the time with little to no reason.. This indeed is their lay off strategy.. shame on them and shame on HR for allowing it.. A class action law suit should filed for anyone let go in the last two years for “performance” issues..

80% of my team in Multi are on PIPs, we will all be gone by end of summer. They are also cracking down on people on FMLA who take off Fridays and Mondays to extend their weekends. I know 2 people in the past month on FMLA fired over it.
