How's that working out for our executives?

The phrase you quoted is a meaningless corporate platitude. It has literally no meaning. The only, and I mean only, measure of success for a public company is its stock price. Every decision made around this layoff/VSP situation, is made with that and only that in mind.
If you measure success in terms of stock price, then they’ve done pretty good, stock made a new 52 week high, and wall street is pretty optimistic. But in terms of employees….. yikes, automatic fail if i were to give a grade
Right?
“What does success look like?”
I can tell you what it doesn’t look like.
