Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Re-skill mandates, Layoffs, Hikes

Our Free Cash Flow is heavily bleeding at negative $23.7 Billion because management is dumping $55.7 Billion straight into AI data centers. To balance headcount will drop 13% from 162,000 down to 145,000 and slowly reduce near 130K+.
You have few direct reports with VP, Dir, Snr. Dir, Mgr titles (or) in legacy divisions you might be the high target. QA's, Release engineering teams, Release managers pack your stuffs.
If your org is in re-skill zone, the leadership team can expect a heavy restructuring here.
I doubt Oracle has better pay or hike plans in near future till it resolves its debt.

@cw People use the word because it has a specific definition. That's how words work. I'm sorry it's too big for you.

Which libtard decided it would sound smart to use the word oligarch? Who talks like this? I guess they got their moneys worth from their liberal arts degree... It makes me laugh watching AOC speak and she tries to slip in big words to make her sound smart... they are usually used incorrectly.

As a comparison, Meta has already replaced QA, release engineering teams, Release managers and most developers with AI agents; at some point, it’s going to be Oracle turn; it’s unavoidable

@bg once you agree to work for the oligarchy you need to understand that it's normal to continually cut jobs and reduce salaries. If you are an american employee, this is not personal. Learn to deal with it. If you don't like it then tfb.

ps. The current administration is actively selling you out to the highest bidder.

More layoffs coming but H1Bs will keep their jobs…

As a benchmark, Meta has 70K employees for almost 3 times more revenue than Oracle; Oracle is way over bloated with headcount and LE knows that; expect more layoffs

@at, Its not layoff but reduction in headcount through any means... sorry for confusion. But its hidden layoff anyway.

But I see a huge financial strain with Oracle . I doubt if the new CFO is good to capture these numbers.

@at what's the point? if they try to dodge severance pay, there will be lawsuits which will cost more. it's not worth it.

@aq If performance related then it won’t be layoffs but people getting fired, or PIP-ed first.

I believe this too be accurate.

Performance Ratings due in less than two weeks.

Here is next layoff rough number 2027 without considering geographies: 13,000.
A 3000-4000 layoff is mandated by Aug/Sept 2026

Oracle has to reduce this number of headcounts. no way it can survive without it.

Performance layoffs,
VP's, Directors - Flatten team
QA, legacy Devops - Automate with AI
Field sales - digital shift
