Ed Whitacre handed over a Golden Goose to his replacements and they ki-led it. We lost our Dow status, drowning in debt, stock price declines and tarnished by failed mergers and other miscellaneous tangents!

Ed W was a snake oil salesman who never ran an organization profitably. SBC has destroyed every company it’s acquired! But it’s all academic now as Starlink and Elon have already called check mate to T, VZ and T Mo. shareholders of these companies should be filling suit against these BODs for complete negligence. Also thanks to Eddie in DC T is hated on the Hill.
Ed was a real a--hole. Never cared for him and don’t forget he personally handed the reigns to AH2 Randall.

The biggest f'up was Bellsouth not buying TacoBell (SBC). If that had happened, we would all be much better off.
