Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Why is PEP so badly / incompetently managed ? The stock is a joke at $139 where it was in 2021

Working at Pepsi was Stockholm syndrome. 100%.
Didn't even realize how bad it was until I left.
Great year end reviews. Relocated. Built a life. Doesn't matter. The work was he-l. Emails 24/7. Zero credit. Nobody cares — not the company, not the team.
Buyout came. Took it instantly. No hesitation.
Locked in retirement on double income. Paid off all debt. Sold the house — huge equity. Paid CASH for a new home in the Carolinas. Skipped realtor fees with a relocation. Landed similar pay.
Take home 100K → make it 200K. That's life changing for most people.
The stock exists to pay dividends. You're a line item in shareholder return. That's the whole game.
Pray you get a severance. Take it.
Laugh. Love. Get out. 🚀

They have been a cost cutting company for years. Now everything is run on a state side skeleton crew treated poorly instead of appreciated for enduring this nonsense. Now they have turned to overloading people, asking for the impossible with no resources, threats, low pay, and cutting your pay.
