How much y’all want to bet they send out a promotion announcement email on Wednesday morning, July 1st, and it will be all Japanese guys?
Canon layed off at least 21 people in Southern California, most in IT suport for Canon's customers. No notice, no pay, nothing. possibly a WARN ACT violation. It seems most are also over 50 years old so a possible age discrimination suit coming.
They’re cutting sales jobs in order to hire IT temps to complete the conversion to Google. This is more important apparently then selling friggin’ products & services.
@fr looks like some people got golden showers.
So the solution to declining sales is to lay off sales people? Things that make you go “hmmmm…”
@da it was a joke. If you compare their packages to the ones that Xerox has given their last 3-4 CEOs, it would be bronze. Definitely not silver and ABSOLUTELY not golden!
@fg your guy must be one of the exceptions… PK and rest of the CSA mid west mess are the reason us sales people are sc--wed… keep drinking the punch - ha ha ha ha ha ha
Let me guess, expats have not been, nor will be, impacted. 🥱
@fh this news is unfortunately real.
@ff ppl spreading sh$t to cause panic = fake news.
@Payroll waster. Not sure if you’re in sales or not, but my sales director works his butt off pushing deals through and trying to fix issues for the team.
@fe what makes this fake news in your opinion? Many were let go.
The organization is way too top-heavy with all these former CSA “sales directors” - inconceivable. We don’t need the heavy management headcount, relying on creating slides to say they generate business and sit in meetings providing BS fluff to pretend they’re moving product.
Time to go !!!
Bronze severance package? Never heard that term used before.
I’m thinking it was sales based on what I overheard today. That is all I will speculate on.
The sales director level was hit hard. I heard that it was 20 of them. But they might not have been given golden parachutes, but they were at least bronze ones
Random, vague, post without at least mentioning the division, if not territory, is kind of pointless. Just a reminder to everyone that the powers that be can’t legally come down on anyone in regards to severance packages if they can’t prove specifically who posted it. Even if someone mentions an entire team is gone after we go through this next month, it would have to be obvious who the specific individual posting was before it potentially violates any severance agreement.
Good luck, CUSA. I expect it gets pretty sad over the next couple weeks.
Haven't heard anything? Like to provide more information?
Is this specific location/s or what department. Or is it multiple departments
