I thought the re-org was supposed to eliminate the chapter model. Why am I still reporting to a do-nothing, useless people manager?

@wc not really “doing away with agile” in the truest sense. Agile != Scrum. Agile is an umbrella for the growth mindset work that the guys in snowbird officially coined in 2001. All the various frameworks like scrum, kanban, DAD, Less, GROWS, and many others are just a way to codify that mindset.
What has broken down over the last 10+ years is that only teams adopted the frameworks. Few levels of management worked within it to make it successful. Instead, they kept building their Fiefdoms. Had they actually solved the problems that the frameworks put a spotlight on, the world would be a much better place.
@d8 “it’s not a sprint” is a funny pun considering they’re doing away with agile, I appreciate that
You will come to know
We are not in a sprint, we are in marathon.
So sit tight, embrace the change. You'll continue to hear more details in coming weeks and months.
Make sure to direct any questions to your manager...even though they have no clue what's happening either
Oh yeah about that…you’ll find out more “in the coming weeks”
