Answer: depends on how one defines redundant. I’d say most companies have some form of “redundancy” - especially considering what can and cannot be off shored legally.
They heard you. Entire IT is being rebadged to Big players (IBM and/or Deloitte). Not sure what will happen to the current vendors like Infosys, TCS etc. Business teams are getting cleaned up this month and following month. Most of the NMCs Tier 1 are already outsourced to offshore. VZ will keep 30%, RIF 30% and re badge 40%. Wait for the announcement in the coming weeks.
