Has anyone had a situation where you’re taking care of a love one and need to work remotely? Does Nike allow this or would it be a case of you would need to resign? I’m the caretaker of a parent who is starting to require more care and I need to keep
My job, but also take care of a parent.

You get a certain number of days per year for parental care leave as a benefit. You can take it as a block of days or as an intermittent leave which means a selection of days per month. This doesn't solve for round the clock care of course. Nike is not supporting work from home as a general rule these days so your options for an accomodation for full time remote work on an open ended basis are slim. Aging or chronic condition parental care is a real challenge and my sympathies to your situation. My Dad had a long decline with a neurological disease and I took intermittent leave but thankfully my mom was able to take care of him at home. I'm not sure what I would have done if I had to do the 24/7 care.
I tried, HR was dismissive as usual and I found myself in the RIF.
You only get the narrowest application of the FMLA
It depends on your manager tbh
