Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

When does underwriting receive its fate?

It has been over 4 months since we were given the message that underwriting would have cuts and be sent in part to vendors. How long is this going to take Jim and the others to actually be honest and transparent for once?

@2szp+1kvCBKQi Great post and the best way to handle this. Keep that resume ready and at a minimum browse jobs so you know what’s out there. Im paying down all my consumer debt/holding off on major purchases in preparation for my turn, and I’m an auto adjuster, but they will dump me the second they think they can, then probably try to rehire months later when India can’t handle my job

What you're experiencing right now is exactly what happened leading up to the purge of the CCC UL/Lic/Chat, etc. reps.. Hint of news, and barely trickled down information until you're faced with the news of your positions ultimate fate - and given a very small amount of time to choose if you want to sign forms to "separate and rebadge" or refuse to sign and be considered as willingly turning down employment.

Severance won't be offered to the majority of "transitioned" job positions, if you're offered it, take it and run.

After the announcement for your department beware of the term "Business as usual", you'll hear it repeated - a lot.
Don't believe the promise of matched benefits. Ask direct questions in the meeting about what will be provided, see if the question is danced around, replying with a statements that reiterate a noncommittal talking point touched on earlier without actually addressing the direct question. Ask for any promises given in writing.

Start saving more money, use your current benefits as much as you can.
We're all walking the plank eventually.

Ya. This on purpose in ASIC. Just once a month town halls saying nothing new. Like that is supposed to be acceptable. They trying to get us to quit so they don't have to move as many to vendor or pay severance. Same old BS from the same old lying manipulative leaders. This action should be criminal.
