Anyone have any thoughts? The guy that "was" in charge of all the cores and is now a segment head is always missing in action. How are we supposed to fix the leakage problems if SVPs are not held accountable? We all have our head buried in the sand thinking problems will go away. Such a mess.

Does anyone have any tea to spill on FIG product side? Any major changes?
@az Yes the one and only, DW! Apparently the qualifications are very low, but you have to wait 2 years until he retires and then you will have to clean up the slop he left behind just like his stellar track record in Cores!! He is a gift from Frank and Gibbons!
Who are we talking about? DW? How can I get his job?
@aj Epic failure for associates and clients that this guy was put in that role. Things are getting worse and just wait for the attrition to hit! This train wreck was avoidable.
@af YES! And that leader now is Equifax with zero core, cards and credit union knowledge. No wonder its a sh%t show with him!! He has 2 years to retirement, so buckle down!!!
"Or maybe they are just treating banks horribly due to incompetence" - if you go back 10-15 years and I am speaking only for the Credit Union side when it was its own business unit. There was a ton of leaders and well managed cores. Slowly over time to make profitability metrics, leaders started being let go. Teams combined, more leaders left. To the point there really wasn't much leadership and as those senior leaders turned over Fiserv replaced them with people that had no Credit Union experience. Leaders came in from the outside like Equifax. Over these 10+ years this just degraded the business, then combine it in with Bank and really nothing got better. The poor employees at the cores mean well but they have been treated so horribly by a company that cares even less for the employees than they do their clients. It is a very sad situation for everyone except the SVP's and up at Fiserv that just keep making a million + each year.
@a9 Nah, its the clients, peers and team that cant find him! Shows up grinning when MC is looking for him. Dude has failed forward for years!
They are going to fix this by hiring an svp to comb through every deployment, it’ll be fixed in a few weeks :)
From the way they are treating the customers, i suspect that they are trying to shrink our core and online banking customers because they aren’t moneymakers. while of course not realizing that these are just a way to get banks onboard with fiserv then make money with add ons. Or maybe they are just treating banks horribly due to incompetence
I have no idea, but my guess is 99% of that persons time is dealing with upset clients, visiting clients, etc.
Fiserv will never be great at cores until they get down to just a few. They just don't seem to have guts to actually do it.
I can’t believe I’m saying this when my a$$ is already fired. Leaders if you’re, on this board, now may be the time to get lean and stop fattening the SVP/VPs that don’t give a f***. Go old school, take an actual walk around get out off your offices for once talk to people 1-1. Ask their opinions how they’re doing? A simple talk can set things on a totally different track. Stop pushing AI down our throats. If you want to get ahead of the AI race may be taking a non- AI approach might be another option.
We don’t recognize the value of strong, decisive leadership until things fall apart—because when everything’s running smoothly, we take good leaders for granted. We need someone with a spine that can turn things around. Not just someone who’s spitting out word salads.
