Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stankey’s daughter in HR?

While AT&T is cutting hardworking employees, John Stankey’s daughter, Meaghan Stankey, reportedly holds a senior HR role at the company.

That is a serious optics problem.

HR is supposed to stand for fairness, trust, and accountability. But when the CEO’s own daughter has a high-level HR position during layoffs, it raises obvious questions about nepotism, favoritism, and whether the same rules apply to executives that apply to everyone else.

Even if the company claims every box was checked, the appearance alone is damaging. Regular employees are losing jobs while executive family members appear protected.

AT&T leadership owes employees transparency.

HR is there to protect the company! Don't ever trust HR... if you're Union, as flawed as they are, reach out to them for help. If you're management and you have allot to loose, get an attorney to represent you. The name of the department says it all, you are a RESOURCE to be discarded when you're no longer profitable.

Does Meaghan regularly work in the office at a shared desk?

Yes if you mean her office is on her daddies yacht and yes if you mean shared with an ocean view.

I can 100% guarantee you that she will not be on the layoff list. Her position as Chief of Staff under Talent Acquisition is largely symbolic and her output will be much less than those hardworking people who are being cut and have to work for a paycheck. Her days revolve around the Hermes and Goyard stores at Highland Park Village.

Ugliness runs deep in that family. You cannot fix that face.
