Teammate just left for a 20% pay cut

I didn't realize the layoff stress here was bad enough to make someone leave for less money.

@b6 Some employees should carefully review their job descriptions and pay scales using Salary.com, as they may be surprised when leaving their current roles to pursue positions at the local university or state government and receiving reduced compensation for identical duties.

We can hope that his colleague now understands that his or her education, abilities, and skillset fell outside the marketplace salary range and received higher pay Xerox.

This reveals that companies like Xerox, granting pay increases simply because employees remain with the organization, foster an unjust mindset concerning the employee’s value.
