Thread regarding Open Text Corp. layoffs

Feeling less valued over time

I’ve been here long enough to see how decisions get made, and it doesn’t feel great at all. A small circle seems to have most of the influence, while everyone else just waits to see what changes next. I know no company is perfect, but I’d like to be somewhere that treats employees as more than expenses. At this point, I’m thinking it may be time to look around.

Odd to expect to feel valued by a corporate entity. Keep riding the money train and seek validation elsewhere. Or yeah, look for another job, but it better be at a community farm or something if you want appreciation.

@gw+1ktph1nmh I've noticed that stuff that break the site rules in some way gets removed.

Unless you want a front seat to watch a once great company ki-l its self, look for a job elsewhere. We were a pioneer in the 90’s and document management was still in the spotlight last decade, but now we have nothing but old technology where we try to dress it up and say it works with AI. The OpenText show is over, time to roll the credits. The only thing the company values is ensuring our executives get their bonuses.
