Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

ISC sites

Are ISC under new Honeywell split is going to finish ? Heard there are savings ongoing on transport goods within UK- EU and USA-EU going worldwide. What was the point to make IA and promising future when sites are going to closure ?

Right now! They’re in the process of retrofitting older facilities. Isn’t it isn’t being done so they can keep it. A lot of companies do this before they offload it from the Books.

They even have a fancy name for it. It’s called, “ optimizing portfolio, or you can call it. Flipping the property.”

A company were not spend millions on a building just to offload it. This is totally false. Even if they take a loss. They come ahead after taxes and consolidating facility into a more efficient modernized building. You will come ahead at the end.

If you say sell it as is, you might be stuck with it for a long time. I’ve already seen all the steps ahead of offloading and building. they’re not gonna spend millions of dollars maintaining an older facility. When it comes down to old infrastructure.

You better believe this. It’s cheaper to consolidate, or build a new facility. They already want to go carbon free neutrality by 2035. Cold state equals no carbon free neutrality. High buck regions and high taxes. Equals no shareholder of value.

There’s a lot of employees in divisions that have seen weird behavior. Like evaluating the condition of their facilities. They’re only doing this for one purpose. How much is this gonna cost us to modernize it. What expenses are gonna cause us to repair things as a building deteriorates. Hint. When they come in with machine. Which measures the thickness of the concrete floor and predetermined if it has rebar. Then they check to see the conditioning of all the pipes under the floor.

It’s for one purpose only. How much is this gonna cost this yearly. Is it cheaper to consolidate or build a new building. I’m gonna use an example. Let’s spend $500 million to fix Arizona plant up. So we can increase production in commercial and defense. They already made a decision. We’re not staying at this location.

The building I’m in. It’s at least 70 years old. It’s just gonna cost too much money to maintain it so they’re gonna offload it. buildings.

I hope I’m wrong. However, I’ve been through this before. First, they need to transfer the knowledge and make sure the process are correct. They also need to train in new people. So they tell you how busy they are and hire a bunch of people to be technicians. Who make 40 bucks an hour.

It’s amazing that they’re all supervisors and group leaders. So eager to show anybody how to do our jobs, so they can move up the corporate ladder. When you have people with big heads, it’s easy to transfer all that work knowledge

Anyone that comes in our building. They are so eager to show everybody. All the plant operates and hauler work is done. They brought in all these new people. In order to increase production. These people are learning how to do your job. You don’t see it that way and just see a whole bunch of parts being built. We’re so busy.

I prepared based off old experience. You didn’t, so when they have their all hands-on meeting. You should be very well prepared for the unemployment office.

Where is my super size glass of Kool-Aid and am I still gonna get promoted?

Lol hes talking in tounges... its a sign. Honeywell will optimise its efficiency even more so, after split. This means plant closures and consolidation into to remaining plants. Desisions will be based on many factors. If you are in large plant that has a high revenue then likely you will be ok... or not depending on if your preference.

If I’m reading your statement above correctly, there are gonna be site consolidations. Which would result in plant closures. Don’t worry, they will notify the employees at the sites. Which plants will be affected?

This followsElliot management played perfectly. Reduces sites, employees, and optimize portfolio. Even if your site isn’t affected, pay attention. Because what they do at once and do it another, the next six months to a year are gonna be very entertaining.
