In what was once a somewhat protected role, we are now being told that the EA roles are now changing to a worldpay model. I’m fairly new to Global Payments and I’m worried about my job now. This place is toxic and creates anxiety for their employees. I work with a great bunch of admin gals (and some admins guys) but I’m feeling the anxiety of what others feel when they don’t know what’s to come.

An EA (executive assistant) here. I know how you feel. They set us all up in a meeting (everyone was in different meetings but I suppose the message was the same) and told us there are changes coming and to wait for updates. I’m located in the US and from the other EA’s I’ve spoken to, we are all worried if we will have a job with this new model they proposed. If you’re an executive and currently have an EA supporting you, that might change depending on your title. At a loss for words with this company. We built a reputation and relationships with our executives and now we have no clue who we will support. I pray for us all and even that may not be enough.
Enterprise Architecture would benefit from revisiting how it’s structured and how decisions get made. The current process creates bottlenecks that slow down progress and projects….

What is the WP model?
The Worldpay model will become dominant throughout all departments I suspect.
