Take a step back and stare at all the folks in that team. Everyone that failed delivering for Mercury and workstations packed in that team.

Even head of organization effectiveness made it there (what a run for her).

Free version of ChatGPT/Claude can replace the entire Foundry team by noon tomorrow.

Call it water fountain

You have to ask yourself… is one or even five incremental hires at a junior level in Hyderabad going to move the needle here? No! We need to make meaningful (read expensive) hires in developed markets to truly move the needle in AI and I don’t think leadership is willing to do that.

In terms of AI usage, I’d actually argue you get more value from DM users who know the industry better and can use that knowledge in making the judgement calls than you get from EM users who jump from tech shop to tech shop. But nobody wants to hear that… believe me, I’ve tried preaching this to anyone who will listen.

Same as fds was doing before in the AI space, building poorly planned and outlandish products destined to fail led by managers who have no idea what they’re doing

Only benefit is that before all AI projects were siloed from each other and now all the teams working on ai have easier ways of communicating their progress to each other
