Our manager just sits there nodding while other teams blame us for everything. No pushback, no defense of our work, just silence while we take the hit. I mean, he looks bad in the whole thing as well, he should at least care about that. But nope, just lets it happen.

They do not care , corporate world is never friendship, you leave the company and you are de-ead to everyone there. Nothing to cherish and nothing to remember,

At the LL5 and LL6 levels, they're not problem solvers—they're meeting puppets. The moment a real problem appears, panic sets in and they start throwing money at it, hoping it goes away.
@f2 I don't think framing someone to discredit them when they defend themselves honorably with evidentiary documents and padding files is "looking out".

Because if he defends your team, he'll make enemies of the other managers that will backstab him to others and seniors and his career will be over. That's the Ford way.
