Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Leadership is ignoring all warning signs

Culture deterioration, low morale, key talent leaving, remaining employees being overworked... They've created a recipe for disaster with layoffs and constant toxicity and there are plenty of signs it's slowly destroying the company but nobody seems to notice or care.

@mr I’d be careful saying such. If he was the problem, why are employees, doctors etc that speak up getting threatening letters from their lawyers currently? Brian only had that job for 2 years, made 2 mill compared to the one now, who returned from the past, making his 30mill a year. Look up the history and you’ll see. Either way, issues can be resolved without violence. And this company did me and many wrong! But let’s avoid saying such. You’ll get all the good info here deleted, let’s stick to layoffs and unethical practices towards us EMPLOYEES AND FORMER EMPLOYEES!

@mk oh please, he was shot for a reason.. n when that happened more people were happy that angry. Look up online blogs and you tube comments, majority people were celebrating his death.. speaks volumes.

@mj only the slaves stay. Independent thinkers that take accountability are laid off

@ae The company was good then because Andrew was in charge. He cared about values and things like diversity of thought and diversity of people. Those of us who’ve been here over a decade can see that the only time when things were decent were under him.

@OP And the same toxic bosses get to choose who stays and who gets laid off hence they are getting rid of all employees and keeping each other, and they can’t do the job. Hilarious actually. Not much oversight it seems.

@kb they all need STEP by STEP, because their managers will fu-k them over of they as much get creative or take responsibility for anything they do. Now there could be some d-mb ones but it's mostly due to your toxic culture by older Indian managers and executives with a colonial and castist mindset.. remember older Indians are all about hierarchy, upper lower caste or whatever they call it. My idian colleague peers say that themselves and complain. My manager calls them fresher or junior.. that's just one example. My manager is almost bipolar. Never patient with me and won't spend 5 minutes if I have any issues but the next minute he's on call with his ”upper management ’ who ask d-mb questions and have to be told same things 10 times before their numb brain can pick it up and he totally fine with that.. the hippocracy
Ge-z. I am not the one to wish ill health or mental breakdown n quits or goes on welfare, but that's my only hope of keeping my sanity..

@fs @fs Yeah, plenty of smart Indians in Tech, except the ones who can't do sh-t without step by step by step instructions, and even that mess it up. The amount of rework we have to deal with by cheap labor mo--ns on the other side of the world is ridiculous.

@fv note, this is for tech/IT teams. I am not talking about it other teams so stop the hate. I stand by what I say, I am not a racist. Just seen the pattern and I am speaking the truth.

Leadership is horrible! It’s crazy how they just keep promoting each other while the actual workers get sh-tted on. It’s crazy how NJ hasn’t gone on strike or unionized. Something to think about let leadership etc come check in patients

@fs the brown nosers have no sense of time management either. They drop everything as soon as someone above them gives a task.. important or not doesn't matter..its all about kissing a-s. I grew up in a nice easy mid West town with a calm childhood. These people give me anxiety, I am on Xanax now, after 3 years of mental abuse. I plan to write HR about their lack of respect to American values.

It's ok. ShitCharity will layoff everyone. Then zmuda will fire his a-s n hire a white American after Indian finishes her job. When will Indians learn they are not respected but used by White people to do the hard and dirty work...

Love it when the one clown can't help themselves and always needs to assert their political virtue signalling and derail the thread. The company trajectory has been in the making and would have continued down the same path no matter who would have been in office.

Many employees received no merit increases for 2025, which is incredibly discouraging. The company is so top-heavy that very little compensation ever reaches the lower levels. It’s hard to stay motivated when your contributions go unnoticed.

They notice. They don't care. And they don't care about employees health or wellbeing either. Those days are gone.

It's sad. I joined several years ago. Before Covid it really felt like things were pretty stable. People were cooperative and you felt like you were a team.

The rampant offshoring, the constant layoffs. Helpdesk is completely gone. Leaders have had their brains completely broken by AI and have gone psychotic.

This company has deteriorated so much.
