Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Just going to ignore this site

I cannot keep looking at all the fear mongering and b*thing on here. I'm done. I'm out. Just will avoid the rumor mill. Does anyone actually find value from this site?

$1000 says that the OP is still here multiple times a day instead of doing the job they're supposed to be doing.

The issue is when there is (rarely) a real layoff, someone does inevitably forecast/leak it here. The problem is there are whiners and trolls that spend the other 98% of the time whining and trolling. Best to come here after/during a layoff to get a few good posts.

OP is an ostrich with its head buried in the sand.

Not reading it here doesn't make it less true. Good luck in the next SIRP, I think you'll need it.

@OP paid HR shill. I will gladly ignore this post. The truth is the company is in deep sh-t. You choose to be oblivious to this, fine, however there will be no mercy on you when the inevitable happens. That is how bad the company is, to dip down to gaslighting the truth as opposed to clean up and get back to where they were. I am not surprised because that is the weak spineless leadership that runs this company. The same sickness can be said for society, and folks heed caution as we enter 2023. This house of cards is collapsing, if you can’t see it collectively, fine, however understand that we have not reached bottom yet. And you cannot even imagine what the bottom will be like.

I found a lot of value with this site. It gave me the heads-up I needed to prepare for the involuntary layoff and the pension interest rate issue. Sure there are trolls, but there are going to be some on any social media site. Just ignore and move on.

While there are trolls that aren't too hard to identify, this site provides good information. The August layoffs were accurately predicted. There is bi-----g and whining on here because that is the state of the company. This management is not very good. Their transformation is alienating customers and employees.

this site has great info versus glassdoor and other such review sites. anyone thinking of taking a job at ford needs to read this thelayoff.com ... those other sites are often just 1 liner boilerplate reviews. they used to have real paragraphs full of explaining what is really going on, but ford HR must have control over the eject button and uses some weasel thing like "oh that is just an opinion, it is not provable, so we are allowed to delete it" type of thing. this site provides unvarnished truth like autoextremist dot com ... in fact this site gets into more details than delorenzo does (maybe because he would get sued if he printed what people actually told him)

This site gives us more truth then our management ever does.

@OP. I do. As with any public site, we find all kinds of opinions. Most of them, I find them useful. @Ford, with the lack of transparency from upper management, any tidbit is welcome.

Now, people can keep their heads in the sand, if that makes them feel better. It will not prevent the bad news to reach them, though, especially if they get the tap in the shoulder. Personally, I prefer to face the music (and the bad news). Thanks to this site I know how bad the company is actually doing, and what are the chances of keeping my job.

I realized, also thanks to this site, that I won't be able to retire in this company. Therefore, I changed my plans a couple of years ago. I had time to save some money away and prepare for the worst. I also had time to study the market and prepare myself for the next challenge. Already looking for the next job.

These steps and preparations are giving me peace of mind again. All thanks to the information here, in this site. Remember: Praemonitus praemunitus (forewarned is forearmed).
