Heard that SCM was gutted this week. Anyone have details?

@14m USUI project team rolls over to GDS conversion. The big wipe outs in GDS departments including field people will happen during the conversion and once it is done in 2027. There are alot of position in GDS that push reports once a month, check a box, stuff a envelope, no added value tasks, those lovely make shift jobs for friends that should have been gone years ago. They will be the first to go. GDS is full of boomers, my advice take your retirement go enjoy life!
@1q8 lol not just projects. Plenty of roles in LP and GDS producing decks and reports that no one reads and influence no decisions.
@1q7 they are offering packages but not the fat ones of old. Employment contracts for new or promoted employees restrict payouts just above statutory minimums.
@14k - they could stand to get rid of some waste/re-shuffle in Projects too! So many people in roles that just “feed the machine” but don’t have anything to do with executing the work or supporting execution of the work. The amount of waste in this company is uncanny!
@14k - wish they’d offer and early retirement along with this “big purge” you’re talking about!
And USUI teams rolled off/out once their projects wind down this fall.
This is N75 in action. Leveraging AI and outsource to cut costs and headcount. Last I heard...
Finance has high targets to compress, transactional and reporting layers.
SCM is targeted to be one of the most impacted.
HR is planning to wipe out entire teams.
TIS will shave a number of roles and rebalance the others.
PACS modest cuts expected but don’t tell them as that’s not been announced yet.
Legal, cuts are planned but those will trail until confidence increases in tools and governance.
@12g where’d you hear that and what departments is it going to affect?
The big purge is happening in September
Heard it was on the finance floor too. Great thinking guys.
Can someone spill the tea? What happened over at SCM?
Must be because I've been buying PCMR on the credit card.
