It’s 2:30 here at HQ. I’ve met my 40 hour requirement for the week so it’s time to head home. Man I love Summer Fridays!

The depends entirely on your age. Anyone under 40 can pretty much get away with whatever they want. I speak from first hand experience. FTO and only go in when I feel like it. Been doing this 18 months and nobody has said sh-t. I average 3 days per week and it’s good enough.

They are indeed flagging “ba----g out early every Friday” people. You can choose not to believe that, I don’t much care:
My boss said besides 5x8, they are looking for trends. So if you leave early every Friday, you'll be flagged. So I move my short day around.
@b2 Yep, market based metrics work both ways. On Friday, my hours over 40 are worth more to me at home.

This is what these kinds of metrics get you, if you want to monitor and treat people like children, they will act like children and perform exactly as the metric specifies…
Hence why you see now in software “tokenmaxxing” developers burning tokens for no other reason than to meet the metric, costing companies millions.
