How secure are you in your job ?
My day to day has been completely replaced with codegen.
Everything from coding, reviewing and analysis.
I havent used my brain in months, everything is done by AI.
Its a blessing and a curse.
As soon as they can resolve the issue with accountability, you will be made redundant and unemployable.
What is your exit strategy ?
Completely agree with OP we will be brain dead soon , i am completely using AI for all tasks now with management threat of use it or get penalized.

Networking is not where it’s at. Sure, tons of infra going in but Cisco plays no part in that since it was asleep at the wheel when AI all started.
Front and back end web development and web applications with AI is where it’s at, for now.
If I were younger I’d pursue a different career and go into another branch of engineering or medical. IT is critical, for sure, but the big money is being more and more focused on the few top AI players. Spolier alert: Cisco ain’t one of them.
Codex and Claude are already the best programmers in history.
Any task, in any language, they can produce a solution quickly that is right almost all of the time. They don't get tired or complain about having to do brownfield work.
Most business coding is simple and isn't even a challenge for models as they are today.
When OpenAI and Anthropic go public they will be under intense pressure to generate revenue and the first market they will go after (and capture) is business coding; expect their models to get even better at coding than they are now. They will sell "autonomous development" to companies...a continuous development cycle that has little to no human intervention.
I expect most business dev jobs to be on the chopping block within three years, with autonomous development being normal almost everywhere within five.
It's strange to talk to devs who think they will just be coding in five years like they are today.
