New word for Dell Leadership to learn

Execution - The act of doing or performing something planned. It is the process of turning ideas or strategies into action and/or formidable products.

@p3 That cubers it very well. Only other thing I'd add is

  1. Hype, spin, and talk AI everyday to pump stock despite not having anything to do with AI.

@h4 If you are kind enough to call that a strategy, yes.

Funny thing is they failed doing even that.

From what I've learned over the years at Dell, the "strategy" pretty much boils down to this:

  1. Jump on every hype train, without an actual plan or clue about what you want to achieve or do, and ultimately fail.
  2. Try to copy the competition, but make a worse version of whatever they were doing, because you apply years of old workarounds, processes and tools that simply won't support it.
  3. Find enough people to blame, doesn't matter if they are actually responsible or not. Let the re-organizations begin.
  4. "Streamline" the business by laying off people (again, doesn't really matter how good or bad they are)
  5. Go back to #1

Last but not least, as a added bonus acquire a company every now and then, drive it into the ground and then go back to business as usual, just to shake things up a little bit.

That would require that there is a strategy to execute.

Funny you say this while we are battling tool inefficiencies constantly. Tools are supposed to be our means for execution, but in case ODW doesn't make it obvious enough, it's clear that execution is more of a foreign term to Dell that they will never grasp

I looked, this word isn't found in Dell's dictionary.
