how are “Intel management” viewed?
Or “Intel shift engineer” viewed?
Would you rather be an individual contributor or a manager for attractiveness?
Looking at how poorly the company executes, my assumption is non-management roles are viewed in higher regard..
Outside of intel nobody cares
Using fear and paranoia as motivators for long, they can't be useful to an organization. Besides, the leadership (managers included) and parroted and acted as echo chambers for Intel. The bad habits inculcated will take time to wane. So, I would say, an individual contributor is good.
I don't think it matters, IC versus Manager. Outsiders, whether customers or suppliers, generally see Intel employees mostly as arrogant and selfish, rather than judged on capabilities.
Many senior IC Gr9 and above and most managers don’t have what it takes to be successful anymore outside of Intel.
Intel be analogous to the CCP, for a short window there was actually opportunity and talent at senior Intel ranks, but the past 10 years that was mostly purged, similar to CCP
Are you supposed to tailor your resumes for the job your apply for? If a job is for an IC, would you highlight your IC experience not the manager work?
🤣 too funny. so what does that say about the guy who hired you since you are also ex- Intel? Big mistake?!!
Having worked at Intel for many years as an IC and a lead, and being witness to poor leadership and execution, constant lying to my face, brown nosing and favoritism, I won't consider any resumes that cross my desk with Intel experience listed anywhere.
