I have been told by my manager that we'll have another round and it will be quick. Notifications will be sent out first half of July.
I have not been here at Intel for long. Are new hires usually targeted in such CPMs?

@cv no other company will pay me anything close to what Intel pays. What other company in the area will pay $100k+ with a two year degree?
Bruh there’s thousands of different roles and jobs to do at Intel. If you don’t like your job go find another. There’s bad orgs and bad groups and bad managers, nobody is forcing you to stay there. It’s disingenuous to say the entire company is bad.
CPM in every quarter, to compensate the quarterly loss. Otherwise, for the quarterly earnings report to the public, Intel will have big loss. The salary from CPM are counted to manipulate the earnings report and thus further manipulate the stock.
OP should buy more INTC, then he won't need to work.
Process what?
Stop putting engineer after every job.
You are NOT professional engineers. Hopefully laws move faster to stop the usage if it
@14p OK. Cool.
@151 What BU or site are they in?
Confirmed. Two that I know got CPM'd. Last day is 6/30.
@OP This should not affect your work at Taco Bell, but do something about that weight gain, ok?
It is already happening. CPM has started. People are leaving at the end of June already!
@113 Which positions will be affected? Process engineers?
Confirmed. It is happening under the radar. Target 75k must be achieved with a 5% across BUs.
Anyone transferring to Arizona for ramp up?
Your manager is an id--t. Is he/she from Intel?
Def Met team of Oregon 100% completely safe
they are going to ki-l some project and in Intel style they layoff both the top performers as well as the poor in one swipe. HC targets show a solid 5k reduction over next few months
You should stay at Intel if you don’t have any other skill than buy/sell stocks or bullsh-t talk about it.
Yes, new hires are generally used as canon fodder or bantha fodder due to lack of experience. Instead of waiting...you should go off and do something innovative that you were hired for.
@a8 You blind? God created humanity to make it suffer, laugh in its face, demand to be loved for the abuse, and then threaten to burn your disgusting soul for the rest of time if you don’t do what he says…
…but he loves you!
Forget Intel, free yourself from the Stockhold Sydrome spell Jesus has put you under.
any package? same as last year?
Leave INTEL asap.
Its a good place to work in the 90s and early 2000, bad a very place to work in the last 10 years.
They change the game from focal every year to "insight" every 4 months so they can kick your a-s faster and harder.
BELOW/IR/ISP/ERP all this sh-t words to fire you.
Best thing you can do for yourself and your family is to leave INTEL.
Maybe it less 10% less comparing to the salary at INTEL, but you got your life back, zero stress and minimum responsiblity.
All the best🥂
There's something very odd about this thread, it actually relates to Intel Corp. layoffs.
RTO is playing a significant role in who is impacted
It depends on the circumstances, but Yes, New Hires could be targeted in CPM. If the project gets Cancelled, then chances are your position "may" get affected.
Other times New Hires will not be affected. I returned to Intel last year, so I was a "New Hire" when CPM happened in June & July 2025 (along with the remaining of the year). However I saw too many folks i know get ISP/ERP during that time last year, so I started looking for a job after July and left Intel before end of year 2025.
Hope it helps with your decision.
Check the Outlook calendars of the DMs… usually meetings happen before anything is announced
What department are you in?
You know? My brain is fighting to hold on to the idea that these companies are good.
When I studied CS a long time ago in college, professors used to tell us about the innovation that happened at places like Intel, Cray, IBM, and many others. I still feel a bit nostalgic at times.
Believe it or not, I joined Intel even though I knew about the attrition that was happening.
I know this is a bit naive. I also know that things have changed, but I also need to support my family financially.
Why do you want to work for a company that threatens to fire, layoff or whatever that crappie 💩 CPM to you OP? Free yourself to the world of no electric dependency or AI criminal enterprises.
Dude aren't you tired of been scared? There is more to life than this ....free yourself! God created you!
How long have you been at Intel? Are you module engineer?
which areas will be affected?
