Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC won’t do layoffs- they will fire instead

DXC is too morally bankrupt to actually do a layoff where they would have to pay severance packages. Instead HR goes around trying to find low performers on the sales team ( which is basically the whole company) and they put them on PIPs. Even if you make the PIP. They then put you on a new one. Constantly moving the goal post. They also lie on the documentation. These people are bottom of the barrel sc-mbags

@a4 document everything and Sue them if you can. They literally make up narratives. I have NEVER in my life considered just quitting with out a new job in place. But at this point. It’s a maybe. I have a nest egg. Could use the summer off. I have been building my own thing for over a year. After having a heart attack at age 45. I’m now 55. I value happiness and peace over this stupid toxic job. They can do whatever they want. I won’t live like this

That's pretty common throughout the SSC/BPO. They almost never fire people - too much of a fuss. Instead, they try to make work environment unbearable, in order for you to leave on your own. Nothing new. But I though DXC was still keeping some standards?

How long can you survive in PIP land? I don't need a reference, I have had enough of this place. But every month of salary for doing not a lot makes up for not getting a VR payment. It will only take a few months and they become about the same value regardless how I exit in the end.

HR either totally ignore you, or you get a different answer every time. They tell you black is white, and you're just reading their policy wrong. In the end you give up trying....

Honestly, from my experience in the past few weeks - literally everything is made up as they go along, or changed, or its one thing at one moment, and then it literally changes to whatever on earth "they" (I guess being HR or management) want next.

It is horrifying to experience what I have seen over the last few months.

It is entirely made up as they go along - and that is the problem. If the rules and the game keeps changing day to day, and DXC are entirely in control to change things as they see fit - what hope do employees have?

Get out while you can, it is only going to get worse (and in the last year I think the sliding descent has already accelerated even more......)
