In the current climate of layoffs, no one wants to speak up, even when senior management is demonstrably wrong about the root cause of an issue. But hey, we told the regulators before we did any work, ergo it must be true right?

Believe it or not nobody in other companies is piping up to tell senior management they are wrong about anything either. Thats basically the norm in the corporate world.

See that, it is working, create enough dishonesty and it makes it much easier to get your agenda flying when "it must be true right" statements become the norm.
