Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Why are layoffs suddenly so silent

I always worry when the storm calms and things are too silent. It was clear at the start of the year and before that we had plans to enforce our hub strategy, and all he-l broke loose with several layoffs. Now it feels too quiet. What was once all this buzz about remote layoffs and reorg layoffs has become completely silent. I do not endorse the strategies, I worry about when kids are too quiet. Curious if anyone has insights on what’s around the blind corner?

From what I can tell, it's every month in small batches. Death by a million small cuts. 2 years ago, we had 72k employees in KYT, today it's 67k. So assume it's always happening as long as India F. McKinsey, (F stand for "first") is ceo.

There were sweeping layoffs two weeks ago. They happen every quarter.

There was a WARN notice issued for a site closure in Maryland last week. There were layoffs in technology in May. There will always be more around the middle of the month.
