Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

NCFO General Chairman Useless

Doesn’t seem like the leadership is doing a very good job or even cares about their members. Hearing a local chairman, got taken out by management at the same location of the previous local chairman was taken out at. Seems like targeting… Not to mention, it was next to nothing as far as involvement with the last contract between members and union officials.
Aren’t they supposed to represent the members or is being in bed with management too comfy?

Is there any union that's actually useful anymore? The "jobs for life" agreement is horsesh!t. The unions praised the agreement but never mentioned what the unions are allowing the railroads to do before the so-called merger deal. Even if the merger deal goes through, I don't see the "jobs for life" agreement sticking.

Finally UP and NS have something in common, management stealing laborers work in broad daylight as non agreement and NCFO don't care at all.

Someone once said the ncfo General chair looks like Curly from the three stooges. Looks like him. Might as well act like him.

@nk 100%!! He loves to brag about getting more work but never any extra pay! “We have to prove we can do the work before we can ask for more money” is his slogan. F THAT! The pay gap use to be $5hr between MSO’s & the crafts, now it’s almost $10! So we gained more work & actually lost pay!

You mean the same general chairman that wanted us laborers to do other crafts' work, for no extra pay?

If it makes you feel any better the ibew is worthless as well. The unions are just lap dogs to the company these days. They’re not willing to fight for the workers, their only job is to keep us working and collect the railroads bribe.

@dd there is bringing someone back and then there is bringing someone back cleared of any wrongdoing with backpay! Time and time again people are offered their job back and that’s it…

I recall hearing similar a couple years ago like 2024 about ncfo. Sounds like a mess.

@e9 that's the most accurate statement. Better yet, I was told by union, the carrier can do what it wants, we have to fight it in arbirtration.

A real union can bring him back. Only fake unions can’t.
