Thread regarding Canon Inc. layoffs

Still No Survey Results….

Weeks ago, they sent out an email stating the results would be provided, but of course, nada to date.

This is the hallmark of a very dishonest, disorganized, non-transparent company.

This survey was originally distributed last fall? (it was so long ago I forget when it was), and now we’re almost into June and they still can’t get their act together.

Total disgrace!

@26x protesting over a million dollar expense instead of reinvesting those funds into their employees via raise or promotions.

@1z9 wow public protests? What would you be protesting? Free trips?

@1z1 I thinks it’s a great gesture after the cloudy information about direct sales this year. I’m looking forward to going.

Sammy (and by extension, all leadership, since they're all sycophants and yes men) does not give a singular fu-k about your hardships or well being. This dude will make someone travel 1,000 miles to give one hour long presentation, in a hybrid meeting setting. This is not an exaggeration. I know it happens frequently. It's inefficient, costly, and nonsensical, but does that matter? No, because all that matters to him, is face time. Control. He's a wannabe 80's power CEO, not a real leader. Canon took a huge step forward with Kevin as CEO, then immediately did a 100 yard dash backwards when Sammy took over. It'd be comical if it wasn't so infuriating.

@1z1 makes sense why they are not giving raises. Spending a frivolous amount of money on an unnecessary trip in the name of morale or team building highlights several issues, mainly being they do not listen nor do they care about their sales team. Rage has become thicker since the emails were sent out Friday afternoon. If they were smart they would cancel this before protests begin publicly.

@a5 Instead they have doubled down to force all sales reps to Melville in July and August in broken down groups each week. Came out Friday afternoon. No notice. Everyone is angry and no one wants to go.

@10r Compared to the other percentages, it's not an overwhelming vote of confidence.

That info will definitely leak out into the world that employees don't have a lot of faith in management, especially at the executive level.

What did they expect would happen? They brought it onto themselves. They own it.

There is no way in H E L L the Executive Approval rating is at 57%. They will say, oh the majority like us, so we can do anything we want, cuz democracy….

Absolutely RIGGED results!

Third-world level corruption.

Not to be surprised but they definitely cooked the books on the survey. Overall 2025 index favorability is 74.3 percent. Yeah right. Knew this was coming. Canon obviously doesn’t care and goes out of its way to cover up problems or live in complete denial. They only will selectively listen to whom they want.

@ah And the quiet quitting will continue until the company gets it… if ever. But by then, it’s too late. The damage has been done. Lay people off all you want, management. Your reputation and the company are headed for the nearest toilet.

Do we really need to see the results? The idea that they haven’t paraded them in front of us already tells me everything I need to know about them.

I really want to work hard for a company I trust. The sad result is I don’t work hard because I don’t trust that it will pay off. Can I get promoted? No. If I sell more, will I make more? Maybe, but next year they will just up my quota.

The company has set the bar so high and given so little. The message from the top is to be creative but I think they should look in the mirror.

Likely having a difficult time making a diamond out of road apple. Frankly, don’t hold your breath. The C-suite knows there’s discontent in the ranks. They refuse to face reality.
