a compassionate company that truly valued it's employees would have opted for an 18 month plan year and pushed the date to 2028

When was this change announced? A Town Hall, morning roundup, Heart beat?

Why did they not inform us of this upcoming change during our annual elections? This is a good change, but a big change. My choices and planning would have been different had I known earlier. Classic big insurance rip-off behavior. Sign people up, then change the rules. HR and senior leaders are either clueless clowns or complicit scam artists.

Remember cvs owns Aetna which means they own all associates using the health care benefit. We are not sure I’m using the correct term but captured market. They need more profits and revenue jack up premiums. Like going to the ballpark and paying $8 for a coke. They got us and they know it .

This is CVS, remember that. Does anyone really think that they’ll make decisions that only benefit employees and not the company? Of course they’re going to make decisions that benefit the company more than the employees.

If I’m understanding the FAQ correctly, from an employee perspective, it’s six of one, half a dozen of the other for most, with any payments towards deductibles in 1H 2026 being credited to 2H 2026. But for people who don’t have anything to credit from 1H 26 and intentionally planned procedures for 2H 26 to count towards the original June 26-May 27 plan year: they’re getting sc--wed as now those payments towards their deductible are going to reset a full 6 months earlier than they believed they would prior to this morning.

It would be naive to think there isn’t a benefit to the company. I assume they can and probably will now increase premiums again for Jan.

@OP
Sc--ws my family since we met our deductible - higher health needs/users = higher sc--wing
