I’ll just say one thing: trust the leadership. I believe there will be no layoffs.
Do what I did- use the cushy job to get skills in a field that is suffering shortages. Then when you leave Paramount to pursue the new career, you will be getting your inbox blown up. Even in our cooked economy, there are a small handful of jobs with way more positions available than people skilled to do them. Healthcare and education mainly come to mind.
Yes, you can try to persist in media, but for me that felt like a grueling uphill battle while changing fields feels like a world of joy, vigor and opportunity. Can recommend.
lots of places are hiring. Indeed. Zip Recruiter. I get emails everyday from them. But I guess its based on what you do. If you are working in the mailroom, sure maybe there are no jobs.
