because of transition to Cognizant. I am from Costa Rica as a CS rep and my manager mentioned today that there will be no lay offs in the coming future? Majority of my counter parts in MN are doing zero work and most of the projects are put on hold. Hope someone in the top management has a clue of whats going on. Its very bad to put all the employees in this unknown state.

Seem like many BT/IT people got laid off recently in various locations.
Cognizant have less of a clue compared to 3M management. I was pulled into a project where Cognizant was meant to develop a platform to help the country interface with global systems. The night before go-live, at 1am, I was still in meetings with Cognizant to test as the platform/system was still giving errors less than 7 hours to go live!
In the end, they had to keep fixing it days after go-live. Terrible.
