I’ve never worked at a company that changes course as much as this one, constantly chasing whichever way the wind happens to be blowing, whether politically or technologically. One minute it’s one strategy, the next it’s the complete opposite, like nobody even remembers what they were pushing six months ago.

in dell AI means mostly Actually Indians with llm.
The goal of this company is not to make products, or sell them, or even to make money really.
The goal is to increase shareholder value. And that can be done in many ways that have nothing to do with the actual state of the business.
Just remember, all companies are actively thinking about using AI to replace you. The plan is to get rid of you. All the BS of AI will work along side you is just that; BS. You read all of the BS linkedin postings from $hitheads who are always giving advice.
I put a piece of toast in the toaster and this prompted me to rethink AI.
I just changed by child's diaper which lead me to see clearly how this or that process will work.
Figure out your place in the new AI world.
The world is truly upside down. The reality is, people need a job; not an adventure; they need a friggin' job to pay bills.
I think companies will overotate on AI.

Well I mean this is nothing new and want you signed up for. I started working for Dell in the early '00s and I still remember to this day what the "trainer" said. It was something along the sentiment of that "the only constant at Dell is change".
It was true then, it's true now. The only problem is that every single one of the changes seems to be for the worse and not the better :D
@OP Do we work for the same Dell? For the past 6 years the one and only strategy has been AI and layoffs.
That's because there's no leadership. What Dell has done is make work "The Hunger Games" and everyone has either stopped working on sh-t because they don't want to be responsible for when it goes bad, or is just presenting bad ideas because it shows they are 'busy'.
