Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Walk or take citi offer

I must be brain dead for even considering coming back and working at citi after layoffs. Citi has the highest offer and has better exit package. I have another offer with lower compensation. They go through a fair share of layoffs but nothing beats citi.

New reality is layoffs are everywhere. Do I work for citi with higher pay and exit package or go lower pay and minimal exit package? What would a sane person do? Work will su-k anywhere and probably citi has the highest toxicity.

@bt Finally - this guy gets it. Yes, take the fking job - it's a no brainer. But make sure you have a 5 year plan for socking away all the $$ you can - put yourself in a position of "F*ck You" with some "FU" money saved away earning 6-10%. Free yourself - don't wait on someone else to.

I hope it's not Wells Fargo or BNY Mellon. They layoff frequently, and probably more than Citi.

Everything is temporary. I recommend you take the best offer knowing that things can change in the future.

I will be reinstated most likely. Also any chance citi will cancel the offer before I join in July? Knowing how bad things are I need to consider it all

What exit package? Unless it's in a reasonable timeframe you won't keep your tenure and your severance package amount starts over with 2 weeks per year. And severance is never guaranteed.
