Splunk layoffs?

Not sure whether the Splunk acquisition has done much, if anything for Cisco's bottom line. Anyone know anything 'bout what will happen to the "Splunksters"?

Little if any impact to Splunkers. Just like after Meraki was acquired and Merakians were generally safe from multiple LRs over a few years. Part of the larger post-acquisition workforce strategy, those companies and employees were acquired for a reason... strategic high-growth areas. Splunk is more newly acquired and tied to a hot and high growth area cuz it's all about SIEM, AI, observability and analytics. You don't spend $28B on a company and then ALSO hit them with the same 5% LR. That would undermine both their internal narrative and the public one on wall street.
